Workshop Overview
Parenting a child who struggles with anxiety or intense reactions can be exhausting and confusing. Many parents find themselves stuck between wanting to help and not knowing how to respond in the moment. The SPARK! Workshop was created to change that experience by offering clear, compassionate strategies that help families move from reactivity to connection.
SPARK! (Strategic Parenting for Anxious and Reactive Kids) focuses on both understanding and application. Across four guided sessions, parents explore the reasons behind reactive behaviors and practice practical ways to respond with calm, confidence, and consistency. Each session blends teaching, discussion, and take-home strategies so families can apply what they learn right away.
Rooted in trauma-informed, evidence-based principles, SPARK! draws on family systems theory, cognitive-behavioral approaches, and mindfulness practice. Parents learn to recognize stress patterns, strengthen routines, and create an environment that supports calm and growth.
By the end of the series, families leave with renewed confidence, practical tools, and a clear framework for guiding their child through challenges with steadiness and empathy.
What To Expect
Each SPARK! session combines practical teaching, guided discussion, and hands-on application. Parents are introduced to step-by-step strategies that reduce conflict, strengthen connection, and support emotional regulation at home.
The workshop is interactive and reflective rather than lecture based. You’ll have time to share experiences, ask questions, and learn alongside other parents facing similar challenges. Each week builds on the last, with space to practice at home and return ready to grow your skills.
Between sessions, you’ll receive simple practice plans and reflection prompts to help integrate what you’ve learned. By the final week, you’ll have a clear framework for responding to difficult moments with calm, clarity, and compassion.
